Happy Wednesday!
1. Creativity — I love that God made us creative. He didn’t have to make us with this ability! I love that we’re able to make new things, think of new ideas, and innovate in countless amazing ways.
2. Rhythms of prayer — Since my work life is pretty consistent at the moment, I’ve been trying to adopt a regular rhythm of prayer. In many of my classes in undergrad and seminary, the professor or a student would pray for us before we began. I love that rhythm of creating intentional moments to come before God throughout the day. One of those is simply praying for and about my work before I begin. If you have any rhythms of prayer throughout your work day, feel free to comment below because I’d appreciate suggestions!
3. So many flavors of food — I’m amazed at how many flavors there are in the world. We use such similar ingredients and yet even something like a chocolate chip cookie recipe can be hard to replicate! I love that our taste buds can distinguish even the most subtle flavors, like the types of herbs to the kind of spices we use.
4. Snow On The Beach (feat. MORE Lana Del Ray) — I’m shocked this version exists now! When the original version of this song came out, I groaned and complained and moped because you cannot hear Lana. It says she’s featured but you can’t tell! I’m amazed that Taylor took the feedback to make this song now 10x better.
5. PB&J — Don’t sleep on the pb&j! It’s a classic for a reason. Making it yourself is always a good option, or for even more convenience there’s Uncrustables–remember those? I ate two of them literally every day in high school and I don’t know how they’re so good. I could’ve been the spokes-child for these things.
6. Chicago summer — It’s here! It’s warm! We love it! I do agree that Chicago summers are some of the best summers. The perfect temperature.
7. @likinghoney Instagram — Erin is a tattoo artist In Paris and I’m obsessed with everything she does! I’d love to get a tattoo from her one day.
8. S’mores — One of the best desserts. 10/10 for taste. 10/10 for fire and friendship that usually accompany it.
9. Cilantro lime rice — The perfect base for a taco bowl. I made some with just cilantro, salt, and lime, but I’m fairly certain the linked recipe is better so I’ll be trying it next time.
10. Lonesome Rose — The new location of this restaurant in Andersonville. It’s beautiful and pink with great design, queso, and frozen margs.

I love reading your Wednesday posts!! God made you so creative and outgoing to reach so many of us. My rhythm of prayer is at night when I get in the shower and shout to God THANK YOU for hot water, indoor plumbing, the roof over my head and so much more. But if you’ve ever lived without it I believe one appreciates it so much more.
